What is Venice Token?
Venice.ai is a generative AI platform created by Erik Voorhees, a well-known crypto entrepreneur. It offers open-source models for text, image and code, with the promise of not storing user conversations.
The VVV token launched in January 2025 on the Base network, with an initial distribution to platform users and to crypto and AI communities.
How Venice Token works
Users who stake VVV receive a proportional share of the platform's inference capacity, which can be used through the programming interface without paying per request. The aim is to serve developers and AI agents.
The token has continuous issuance, distributed to stakers and to the company, under rules the team has already adjusted since launch.
What VVV is used for
- Staking to obtain access to the platform's AI capacity.
- Issuance rewards for those who keep the token staked.
Risks and points of attention
- Dependence on a single company and on demand for its AI service.
- Continuous issuance of new tokens dilutes those who do not stake.
- Competition from large AI services, paid and free.
