What is Morpho?

Morpho was created in 2022 by Morpho Labs, led by Paul Frambot. It began as a layer that improved rates on other lending protocols and later launched its own infrastructure.

Today it serves as the base for exchanges, wallets and fintech companies offering crypto-backed loans and yield products.

How Morpho works

Each Morpho market pairs a single collateral asset with a single loan asset, under fixed parameters. A problem in one market does not spread to the others.

To simplify things, there are vaults managed by independent curators, which spread deposits across several markets according to a risk policy. MORPHO holders vote on protocol decisions.
