What is Sui?

Sui went live in May 2023. It was developed by Mysten Labs, a company founded by engineers who worked on Meta's blockchain project.

The network uses the Move programming language, created with a focus on the safety of digital assets.

How Sui works

Instead of accounts, Sui organizes data into objects. Transactions that do not touch the same object are processed in parallel and confirmed in fractions of a second, without waiting for global ordering.

The SUI token pays fees, is used in delegated staking and grants voting rights. Maximum supply is 10 billion, with scheduled releases for the team, investors and community reserves.
